W. D. Hogan worked as a storyboard artist for directors Sydney Pollack, Jaume Collet-Serra, Chris Robinson, The Wachowskis and Cameron Crowe, among others, on features and commercials such as “Jerry Maguire,” “Shadow of the Vampire,” “Devil,” and “Riddick.” He segued into directing music videos, documentaries and commercials before making an award winning short film, “(Pieces of) America,” in 2002.
Hogan made his directorial debut in 2004 with ”Soldier of God,” an award winning feature set in the Crusades. After directing episodic on Fox’s “Fashion House“ and SpikeTV’s “Deadliest Warrior,” Hogan delved into science-fiction with “Behemoth“ (2011), “Earth’s Final Hours“ (2012), “Independence Day-saster“ (2013) and “Zodiac” (2014) for SyFy Movies & NBC/Universal.
W. D. Hogan storyboarded over 200 commercials, music videos, television series, videogames and features. His Commercial and Music Video clients include Sydney Pollack, Rob Cohen, Doug Liman, Scott Hicks, David LaChapelle, Jessy Terrero, Sam Bayer, Erich Joiner, Michel Gondry and Chris Robinson.
